Centennial Tower’s second-floor amenity was small, dark, and divided into several spaces. Our redesign, completed in 2017, combined the spaces into a new club room with connection to the fitness facility and indoor pool and provided a variety of amenities to residents in an open and airy space. The club room’s large kitchen with quartz waterfall countertops is the focal point and provides an array of kitchen appliances for entertaining. Throughout the space, there are a variety of seating arrangements that provide spaces to socialize, study, or relax. The media wall and multi-functional seating engages people throughout the entire space, and a shuffleboard table activates what was once a dark corner. Removing the existing dropped tile ceiling and exposing the structure and mechanical systems delivers an interesting industrial backdrop for the room. The contemporary design used artwork, sculptures, and materials that embraced cooler grays and whites while providing bold infusions of color.
