Scandinavian culture and design influenced the design of this 6-story apartment building near the center of the Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle. By blending contemporary materials with warmer colors and wood, providing vast expanses of glass and the creating of an intimate relationship between the building and the sidewalk edge, the perceived length of this 300’ structure will be diminished. The building will contain 157 units and 157 parking stalls on two levels of below-grade parking.
Much of the buildings amenity space will be located at ground level and will feature a lobby that is open both to the street and a private courtyard behind the building. Two-story live/work units along the street will feature outdoor terraces that will further enhance the pedestrian experience while still providing separation and privacy to residents. A neighborhood scaled retail space will also be provided to animate the corner.
