Inspired by Scandinavian culture, design, and legacy, this 300-foot long, 177-apartment project comprises three distinct building sections, a large lobby, generous amenity space, and prominent ground-floor retail. The interiors by Robin Chell Design are warm and inviting, with wood and natural materials used throughout, while the architecture maintains access to sunlight and integrates with the neighborhood scale and urban context.
Functional amenity spaces include co-working offices, collaboration spaces, resident clubhouse with catering kitchen and gaming area, lounge, fitness center, and a pet wash/dog grooming center. A rooftop garden terrace with lush planters offers communal seating, a dog run, fire pit, and large outdoor cooking and barbecue space with raised planters for residents to grow their own produce.
The design deliberately enhances the pedestrian experience through human-scale elements and activity along the street frontage, while the main resident lobby provides a central gathering space for residents to connect. The sister building, Valdok II, is located directly across the street and further enhances the neighborhood. Valdok I and II were deliberately designed with complementary amenities that can be shared between residents of both buildings. This planning enhances the resident experience and provides a greater depth of amenity for residents to enjoy, simultaneously fostering an enhanced level of community through increased engagement.
