CLARK | BARNES provided architectural design services for Canvas Apartments, a five-story mixed-use residential building located at 600 Elliott Avenue in Seattle. The project consists of 113 apartments on the upper floors, with ten live/work units and a covered parking garage on the ground floor.
The project was designed to encourage pedestrian activity along Elliott Avenue, with the live/work units directly accessed from the sidewalk. A residential entry plaza at the corner provides visual interest, as do several large granite cubes that also offer pedestrian seating.
