PROJECT DESIGNER Plan and define the concept for architectural design projects in order to translate clients’ vision into feasible design plans. Confer with clients, engineering professionals, and building architects to determine project requirements and to develop an understanding of the project space. Develop design solutions determined by the scale of the project ranging from small designs, residential, commercial, corporate, and community projects. Prepare fast graphic studies of concepts, schematic design packages, and illustration of concepts through hand drafted perspective vignettes and illustrative plans, conceptual diagrams, and 3D rendered models. Develop construction document packages to be used onsite by contractors to build the project. Confer with the construction team to determine the feasibility of the building structure, design, and site plan. Review building codes and determine compliance with respect to architectural design specifications. Review costs to confirm specifications within the allotted budget and prepare cost estimates and technical reports for specific projects. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and contractor questions and issues that arise during the construction process. Confirm that the proposed designs incorporate the accessibility requirements under the American Disabilities Act. Oversee the construction and installation process and consult with client to ensure designs develop as planned.
REQUIREMENTS The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field and six months of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
40 hours/week
Salary: $62,000.00 – $67,000.00 per year
